Through our diverse social welfare initiatives, Aatithya Foundation aims to create a positive impact, promote inclusivity, and improve the overall well-being of underserved communities and individuals in Vadodara.
Aatithya Foundation's annual event "Vastra" focuses on the distribution of clothes to underserved communities. Through this initiative, we have successfully distributed over 1000 pairs of clothes, providing much-needed clothing essentials to those in need. By addressing the basic necessity of clothing, we aim to bring warmth and dignity to individuals and contribute to their overall well-being.
During the festival of Holi, Aatithya Foundation organizes "Police Mitra," an event dedicated to showing appreciation for the hardworking police personnel. We distribute cold beverages like thandai, masala chhas, and ruh-af-za to more than 350 guards in the city of Baroda, extending gratitude for their commitment to ensuring public safety. Additionally, we extend the same gesture to urban slum communities, fostering goodwill and strengthening community-police relations.
"Ye Diwali Sarhad Wali" is a grand event organized by Aatithya Foundation, where we celebrate Diwali with the troops deployed at the Kutch border. We cover four border locations, namely Khavda, Khardoi, Dharamshala, and Bhediyabet, and create a festive atmosphere for the soldiers who are away from their families. We distribute approximately 1500 sweet packets and convey heartfelt letters written by students, expressing gratitude and acknowledging their sacrifices for the nation. Additionally, we distribute 500 food packets to the villagers living near the border, recognizing their contributions as well.
Aatithya Foundation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Work, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, organizes the NGO/CBO Fair. This event serves as a meetup for Vadodara-based NGOs and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). The fair provides a platform for like-minded individuals and organizations to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate on enhancing social welfare at a larger scale. By fostering partnerships and sharing resources, we strive to create a stronger network of social welfare advocates in the community.
In collaboration with the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Aatithya Foundation offers free legal aid to residents of urban slums. Recognizing the higher crime rates prevalent in these areas, we believe it is our duty to provide support and guidance in legal matters. By assisting individuals with legal aid services, we aim to empower them, protect their rights, and ensure access to justice.
